This video clip is from The Guardian New paper. The speaker is Brittany Kaiser, the Director of Cambridge Analytica, who witnessed how data was used to manipulate public. While the context of this video clip is about consumers giving away data to big tech companies, I am flabbergasted to know lately businesses & government entities (including Portland Police department) have begun feeding their valuable data into Amazon, Google, Microsoft’s trained AI models to save money and time. Surely it solves a short term problem. But sometimes “cure is worse than the disease”. Be careful before you feed your data into others machine learning models.
